Elizabeth Colton and Sidney Powell

On Tuesday September 8th, Marthaler Jewelers together with Worth New York, held a fashion show in the store in Biltmore Park—with light food provided by Colorful Palate, wine by Joni Artisanal Wine and Jewelry saying by Temple St. Clair. Many attended. Sidney Powell, the founder and president of Genesis Alliance, signed her best-selling book License to Lie: Exposing Corruption in the Department of Justice. As Powell says “Genesis is an organization that is very dear to my heart that really gives back to our community.” Ten percent of the proceeds from this stylish event benefits Genesis Alliance.

Another event on October 22 at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Asheville, the 12th Annual Genesis Alliance luncheon, is being held. A silent auction begins at 11:00 with the luncheon starting at noon. This is the organization’s major fund raising event to raise the means needed to help change the lives of many, who find themselves in abusive relationships. This year the event will benefit Child Abuse Prevention Services’ Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Counseling Sessions. For tickets and information, visit the Genesis Alliance website:

Sidney Powell, former Assistant U.S. Attorney, is shown here as she held a book signing at Marthalers Jewelers and talks with Elizabeth Colton, a former diplomat, foreign correspondent and professor. The book tells Powell’s true story exposing a scathing attack on corrupt prosecutors, the judges who turned a blind eye to these injustices, and the president who has promoted them to powerful political positions. The book has received national attention since publication, being a best seller in three catagories with Amazon, including Law/Ethics, Judical Branch and True Crime/White Collar.
